Project Overview:
We undertook a significant construction project in Hampton, Victoria, involving the development of a multi-story apartment block with an underground basement. As a crucial aspect of the construction process, our team was tasked with ensuring the stability of the soil and preventing any potential soil collapses during the construction of the basement. To achieve this, we implemented a soil stabilisation solution using chemical resin injections.
Client’s Challenge:
The client faced several challenges in the construction of the apartment block, primarily related to the soil conditions in Hampton. The area had a history of loose and unstable soil, making it essential to take proactive measures to ensure the safety and integrity of the construction project. Without proper stabilisation, soil collapses could pose significant risks to the construction workers and the structural integrity of the building.
Solution:
After thorough soil analysis and consultations with geotechnical experts, we determined that the most effective solution for soil stabilisation in this context was the injection of chemical resin. This method would not only stabilise the soil but also fill voids and strengthen the subsurface layers. We planned a comprehensive injection process at three different depths: 1.0 meters, 1.5 meters, and 2.0 meters below the ground surface.
Project Overview:
Warehouse stability is essential for businesses that rely on it for storage and operations. This case study explores the successful remediation of a 63m x 25m warehouse that had subsided by 70mm due to water flowing under the internal slab from a neighboring property. The project involved the use of a combination of injection materials, specifically SJ-60 and SJ-40, to lift and stabilize the slab, with the entire operation completed in just seven days.
Background:
The warehouse, a vital asset for the business, experienced subsidence issues attributed to poor drainage and water infiltration from a neighboring property. This led to uneven flooring, cracking in the concrete slab, and operational disruptions. A swift and effective solution was urgently required to restore the warehouse’s structural integrity and business operations.
